Slow site or app

A slow site costs you visitors before they have seen any of it. The cause is usually a handful of specific things rather than a general condition: unoptimised images, a plugin, a database query running wild, or - rarely - a server or hosting package that is simply too small.

Before changing anything, we can usually find the bottleneck fairly cheaply. Once it is clear where the seconds actually go, most of them can usually be taken back in one reasonably-sized piece of work.
